How to join INC
 

INC memberships run January to December.
 
To join, send us a check for $25 made payable to "INC of Durham."
 
Please include:

* Your name
* Your mailing address and phone number (and email address if you have one)
* Name of your neighborhood organization
* The date you're mailing your payment
Please indicate whether your check is for a membership renewal or a new membership.

 Who's eligible to join INC?
 

Every qualified, identifiable, residential neighborhood lying wholly or in part inside the City of Durham, its extra-territorial jurisdiction, or the County of Durham shall be entitled to send one delegate and one alternate to the Inter-Neighborhood Council.
 
To be qualified, a neighborhood must meet one of the following conditions:
 

a. have an ongoing, private, formal, and representative organization from a defined geographic area, composed of at least 40 households and accounting for at least 15% of the households in the area, the purpose of which may not be inconsistent with the purpose of the INC;
 
or
 
b. be approved for non-voting provisional membership in the INC while actively working to establish a neighborhood organization as described in (a) of this section.
